Hi,
I have been working in software development field 9 yrs. Among 7 yrs C++ on windows(MFC,COM,WIN32) and last 2 yrs I am working on Python/C++ with mysql(Developing framework to test functionality of device). I am looking a chance to break into finance/game or challenging one. I could not get a call or even I applied I did not get a response. Only I am getting calls related to what I am doing now.
How do I change my career path into interested one, even though I have technical skills still I am struggling. Kindly some one suggest me what can be done to move on?
Your suggestion is much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
RK

Where are you located? I've been getting a ridiculous amount of calls from wall street headhunters while I was working a completely unrelated RT programming job just outside Manhattan. My linkedin profile was a big draw for them, apparently. Finance is tough, though.

I'm not sure about the programming part of finance, but general finance jobs are often hard to get without having done an internship at a reputable (in the sector; ethics are not a factor there) company.
