We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement new features of our C# .NET-based applications. This is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals to pursue a passion for software development. This position will have a significant impact on the organization’s product development efforts focused on evolving current systems and creating the next generation of products.
Specific Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy creative solutions for workstation and instrument control applications using the latest MS technologies, including C#, .NET Framework and SQL Server.
• Design and implement solutions for image acquisition and processing, machine learning and data display/visualization.
• Design and develop the UI of customer-facing control panels and data displays
• Create specific, detailed and clear documentation for internal and external use
• Work through the entire software life cycle, from requirement definition through design, implementation and verification
• Work collaboratively with biologists, image processing scientists and systems engineers.
Essential Requirements
• Excellent programming skills in C# .Net development
• Five+ years experience with commercial, non-client/server workstation software development
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• A proven ability to work as a member of a team
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• BS, in computer science, mathematics, biomedical engineering, physics or electrical engineering or equivalent.
Bonus
• Experience with hardware-control software
• Experience in multithreaded and/or GPU programming
• A strong background in math, physics and/or cellular or tissue image processing and image-based machine learning
• Experience in the Life Science industry
• Advanced degree
